Ben established Macquarie Sports Physiotherapy in 2000 after spending 6 years in the public sector where he served as a senior in orthopaedics and outpatients.

Ben graduated from Sydney University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) degree, and then earned his Master in Health Science (Sports Physiotherapy) in 2000. In 2018 Ben was appointed as a Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University, working with the university's postgraduate physiotherapy and medical programs.

Ben has been involved at an elite level with netball, and currently is appointed as physiotherapist to Eastwood Ryde Netball Association and the ERNA Hawks. With a keen interest in sporting injuries, he applies a diagnosis first approach to physiotherapy. Ben is an NSWIS accredited service provider.

Ben is actively involved in cycling, particularly mountain biking and as a member of Western Sydney Mountain Bike club he competes in club cross country races. Recently Ben has been offering a Bike Fitting service utilising real time motion analysis. He enjoys music, tennis, golf and spending time with his 2 boys and wife being active outdoors.

Jonathan Bae

Physiotherapist & Rehabilitation Specialist
BChiroSc DPT

Techniques: Soft-tissue (myofascial release, trigger point therapy), manual manipulation, joint mobilisations, and rehab exercises prescription.

Jonathan graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University, where Jonathan also completed his undergraduate studies in a Bachelors of Chiropractic. It all started from his competitive passion in sport and wanting to improve his performance from a young age, particularly basketball, swimming and weightlifting.

Jonathan found himself dealing with the challenges of trying to enjoy his active lifestyle whilst riddled with the injuries that came with such a high level of activity. Jonathan was fortunate enough to have a physiotherapist in the family, who guided and helped him overcome his injurious setbacks. It was an inspiring experience where Jonathan then felt the responsibility to be in a position of care for others who experience the same struggle of overcoming their physical limitations that can also be mentally and emotionally challenging.

Jonathan implements an array of techniques including soft-tissue (myofascial release, trigger point therapy), manual manipulation, joint mobilisations, and prescribing rehab exercises with appropriate progressions to help discover the true functional potential in all his patients. In his career Jonathan has had the privilege of working with premier basketball, rugby, football, and netball representative players. He finds real joy in seeing his patients live their best lives through enabling functionality and having them engage in activities they love to do. Jonathan is determined to enhance performance levels and help you reach your functional goals, whether that is in high level competitive sports or even in the daily struggle of trying to live out a healthier lifestyle, he is here to help you.
